You can build upon the work of Banting and the Toronto team, by purchasing a personalized, commemorative brick at Banting House National Historic Site of Canada. 

Commemorate the 105th anniversary of the first insulin trials by honouring a loved one with a Banting House brick. Large 9x9 bricks are on sale for $105 off — just $895 (regularly $1,000)— for the month of July only.
